The weather was sunny but a little cool at the Geographical Center Speedway in Rugby, ND. Shannon was the crew chief on this run. Scott Bintz started 4th in the heat and blew the car off the track on the first lap. Got back in the groove and won the heat. Started on pole for the feature and lead most of the race. On the last restarted, pushed up almost of the track and dropped back to 5th. With 2 laps to go made it back to 3rd. Great run all and all. Ryan Mikkelson, won the feature followed by Jim Morlock.

Newsletter Blurb: The 2009 Wissota Racing Season has begun. It was a little rough starting with the new car. Which got wrecked the 3rd night out iin Princeton, MN. So the last 5 races has been with the old car, which seems to work alot better. Guess there are some good things about being older. Over the May 15th Weekend, we picked up TWO 2nd place feature finishes and the First Feature Win at the Tri-County Speedway.
5-15-09 at the Miller Speedway in Miller, SD, Scott Bintz finished 2nd in the Midwest Modified feature race and to his suprise, he won a watermelon. Loren Johson won the feature event. The event started with Brad Sheidan leading on the first laps and was passed on the at the same time on the low side by Scott Bintz and the high side by Loren Johnson. Johnson took the lead and stayed there the rest of the race. Scott dropped back to 4th after a re-start and made his way back to 2nd but was unable to reel in Johnson.

Scott’s first feature win in his rookie year for the street stock class was in 2006 at the Devils Lake Speedway. Scott started 9th and worked his way up the field. There were a number of cautions. With 2 laps to go, Scott took the lead and won the feature event.
