Scott Bintz Racing is slam’n and jam’n getting ready for the 2017 Wild West Shoot. Check out a sneak peek of the race cars. The event will be held at Arizona Speedway located in San Tan Valley, Arizona. Race dates are Jan, 7th, 8th, 11th, 13th, 14th & 15th. Event tickets can be purchased via the Wild West Shootout.
SBR has raced this event in 2014-2016 picking up 7 feature wins over the years and numerous top 5 finishes. Scott Bintz will be back in action driving for the first time following neck surgery over the summer. “There’s nothing quite like racing on dirt in Arizona in January” Bintz said. “It’s a real privilege to go. The first goal is to get there, 2nd is to pass cars and the 3rd is to finish races. Some of the best of the best come to this event, so a top 10 finish can be like a win back home. I’m excited to be back behind the wheel” Bintz said.
The team plans to hit the road around Jan. 3rd or so.
Ryan Mikkelson, driver for Scott Bintz Racing, takes home the win in Bmain # 3 at Deek Creek speedway’s 18th Annual Fall Jamboree. Over 80 of the best USMTS dirt modified’s in the country completed for the 3 day show. This put Mikkelson into the main feature Saturday night Sept 24th starting 17th. Mikkelson drove up to about 12th and then had some re-start issues late in the race a finished 23rd. Tommy Weder Jr. of Wooword, OK won the main event.
Teamate Travis Saurer also completed at the event in the RealTruck #1sx dirt mod. Travis drove the #1sx from 9th to 10th in heat putting him 11th in the 3rd bmain with Ryan, where Travis drove up to 8th. That finish put Travis in the non-qualifier main where he had an unbelievable run going from 32nd to 10th. Check out the 3 wide, action packed video below of Ryan Mikkelson’s bmain win.
Deer Creek Speedway Fall Jamboree USMTS Mod Bmain 3 Video
Stand out driver Ricky Thornton Jr. #20RT wheeled the Truck Hero sponsored #1s machine, owned by Scott Bintz Racing, for 3 nights this past weekend. Picking up a 2nd and two 4th place USMTS Mod feature finishes. Ricky drove the #1s machine to 2nd place in Rock Rapids, Iowa and 4th at both Park Jefferson Speedway Casino Speedway in South Dakota.

The Sheyenne River Speedway was an exciting night for sure. The Realtruck.com 1s started 5th on the grid, Scotty took shear will and channeled it to control the limits of the 1s and take 1st place in the heat. But that’s not all, in the feature as the green flag dropped all racers Dumped their throttle, causing a pileup between turns 1 and 2. The 1s took some body Damage and a flat right rear tire. In the 5th lap another racer was hit and spun out, he DNF, however the sly Scott Bintz snuck off and changed his tire. jumping back in the race on the last lap of the caution and in last place, The Red Headed Rebel bobbed and weaved his was through the other cars. Forcing his way to the inside of the turns the 1s was able to power through the lineup and take home a well earned 2nd place.
The Red Headed Rebel Takes the Husky liners 1s Home to Jamestown. With 5th on the draw Scotty climbs through the grid to grab a hard earned 2nd in the heat. Starting the Feature in 4th the 1s is pushed to exhausting limits taking home a humble finish of 2nd place.
Brown County gets the broom out as The Red headed Rebel makes a clean sweep in South Dakota. With start in pole position for the heat and a first place finish The Pizza Ranch 1s makes it seem effortless. For the feature Scotty started in position 1 and fought off those who would oppose him to make it officially a clean sweep across the board taking home 1st place.
The action from Saturday is enough to compel anyone to spring from their seat. With a start of 5th on the draw, Scotty moves the Truxedo 1s through the onslaught to finish 2nd in the heat. The feature was a grueling push with a start in 2nd, The Rebel forced his way in to the number one spot and etching another mark in the win column. Here’s a snapshot of the Rebel in action
